Araçariguama se extiende por 145 kilómetros cuadrados a una altura de 695 metros sobre el nivel del mar en el estado de São Paulo.
Establecida en 1653, Araçariguama evolucionó desde una pequeña comunidad hasta convertirse en un centro industrial del estado de São Paulo.
La Igreja Matriz de Araçariguama representa un ejemplo destacado de la arquitectura religiosa colonial brasileña en la región.
El municipio cuenta con conexiones a tres aeropuertos principales y acceso directo a las principales carreteras estatales.
